Genesis is the beginning of your child's life long quest for knowledge.

Martha Saenz

   I like to work with children because I can be a part of their developmental growth as well as encourage them to learn, have love for school, teach them to love others, and to love themselves.

   I have a Teachers permit given to me by the State of California. I  Speak fluent Spanish, and I've worked as a teacher in Nicaragua for 10 years teaching middle school students.

Duane Poteat

   I have a AA Degree in Communications, and an AA Degree in Liberal Arts. I've been working with children for about 18 months now. Working with children is a great learning and growing experience, and it's an opportunity to help teach good morals.

   Being one of the first outside connections to young children, I am given the chance to make a positive impact, not just limited to the ones we teach, but to the people the children reach as well.

   The lessons we give to young children is knowledge that can last generations. When these children grow up and have their own children attending preschool, they can think back and say, "I learned this from my preschool teacher."

Mrs. Elaine Walker

   Director and Founder, Mrs. Elaine Walker, graduated in 1999 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. While in school Elaine was on the President's Honors list, she was awarded a Certificate of Competency and Specialization in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is a part of various child development projects through out the city of San Jose and the state of California:

• California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC)
   
• Pre-School Stress Relief Project funded by Santa Clara County.
   
• Mentor to Family Day Care providers through the Mayor's Smart-Start Kindergarten Readiness Program
   
• Local Planning Council.
   

   Mrs. Elaine Walker is a wife, mother of one daughter and a great advocate for children and families.

   I am the Head Teacher at Genesis Preschool.  I am married with five children. I enjoy singing in the choir and working as a deaconess in my church. I have worked with children over twenty-one years. I am in the process of obtaining my credentials in Early Childhood Education.

   I love children and I enjoy seeing them learn and grow in a nurturing environment along with nurturing adults.

   I am 19 years old and I love working with children. It is exciting and very rewarding to see children learn and grow. I have been working with Genesis Preschool for one year.
